The coaches go the extra mile to help each member understand how to reduce the risk of injury.  The members are congenial and supportive but love friendly competition.  The warm ups, strength training and workouts are carried out in an organized and timely fashion, so you can be out of the gym in an hour.  Try this place before you go elsewhere..”

"When I first started at Crossfit Affinity with Kevin I was tipping the scales at a whopping 385 pounds.  

After only one year of training and completely changing my diet I am now down to 265 pounds and I feel great.  Prior to Crossfit I played college football and primarily trained in a normal gym.  Once my football career was over I continued to train but had a hard time getting motivated since the workouts were so repetitive and boring.  Then I found Kevin and Crossfit. Crossfit is unlike any other workout.  

Not only are the workouts challenging and always push you to better yourself but they are also fun. Every day is something new and it has gotten me in the best shape of my life.  There is a great mix of people at Crossfit Affinity and all the members are friendly and supportive.  We all have different levels of athletic ability, weaknesses, strengths and we help push and encourage each other every workout. Of course Kevin, the owner and head instructor, is a big part of my success.  His willingness to share his knowledge and answer all my questions about nutrition or help me through any roadblocks I hit along the way kept me focused and made the process much easier.  I had some lofty goals when I started and with Kevin’s guidance not only was I able to meet them but I exceeded them in a short amount of time."

"Training with Kevin and Affinity Crossfit has helped me evolve both personally and physically.  I went from 370 pounds to 250 and still have a ways to go.  The strength training, WOD’s and eating all tie together and it becomes more of a lifestyle change.  The atmosphere and team camaraderie helps you keep your focus, but also motivates you at the same time.  All the members are welcoming and engaging which makes for a fun experience.

Crossfit has done a lot more for me than just help me lose weight. It has helped change my entire outlook in physical fitness, and my overall health. Before I started working out with Kevin and Crossfit Affinity, I had gone through my cycles of ebbs and flows with the gym; going two weeks at a time, then taking four off, and I never really got into a routine. I wasn’t motivated enough myself to take a trip to your typical corporate chain gym, and fight over the few free weights available, or hog a machine for 20 minutes that did nothing but isolate a specific muscle. I pushed myself to try something different, and after just a few weeks, I was able to see how Crossfit Affinity was more than just a gym, it was a community. Everyone is extremely helpful, motivating, and most of all encouraging. Going into the my few classes fresh off the on ramp course, I knew my capabilities would not match up to many, if not everyone there, but that didn’t matter. Working on building my strength, and improving my overall health, is just as important to everyone else as it is for me. That being said, the biggest improvement I’ve seen in my health after regularly attending Kevin’s classes has been in my asthma. I’ve always had chronic asthma, basically wearing an albuterol inhaler as a necklace. I would use my rescue inhaler about 2-3 times a day just to live a normal life, sitting behind a desk, without much physical strain. After just 6 months of working out with Kevin and co. I don’t even carry it with me in a regular basis anymore. At this point, I’m using it about 2-4 times a week, and even then, it is more on a proactive, precautionary basis, before a high cardio workout. The lifestyle that crossfit has helped me develop is something that I’m very proud of, and my success is due to the dedication that Kevin and his coaches have to the members of Crossfit Affinity.
